After their studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur of Lyon and Paris, the five musicians of the Quintette Promenade met up at the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse where they have played together since 2016. The symphonic repertoire is their daily playground, but the choice of gathering in quintet allows them to discover new horizons, and to reach other publics. As they studied pedagogy, as well as art appreciation, they like to use new ways of communicating with a public. This permits the quintet to integrate contemporary music to its performances, or to play in unusual places such as mountain refuges, hospitals or prisons. Quintette Promenade is creating a show for children combining music and theatre, to be released in Toulouse next season 2019-2020.
