Founded in December 2016, the Elmire Quartet was granted the 2nd Prize in the FNAPEC European Competition in April 2018. The quartet has performed at Festivals such as The Ysaÿe Festival in Belgium, Connaissances des Jeunes Interprètes in France, Saison du Prieuré in Marigny, and at the Rolex Learning Center in Switzerland. Since 2017, the Elmire Quartet has studied with the violinist Philippe Bernhard from the Modigliani Quartet, and was admitted in the class of Luc-Marie Aguera (Ysaÿe Quartet) in Paris. In the beginning of 2018, the quartet was admitted into the Chamber Music Masters course at the CNSM de Paris. The Elmire Quartet is regularly coached by members of Modigliani and Ébène Quartets, Heime Müller from the Artemis Quartet, Philippe Graffin, JérômePernoo, Toby Hoffman, Amy Norrington, as well as Gilles Millet and Yovan Markovitch from the Danel Quartet. In 2017, the Elmire Quartet began its journey with the ProQuartet formations and took part in the Musicalta and Musique à Flaine Festivals. The Quartet was invited to take part in the Rencontres Musicales d’Evian in July 2017 and in 2018, it was selected to take part in the Academy of the Aix en Provence Festival to benefit from counseling from Andràs Keller, David Alberman and Tabea Zimmermann. The quartet will also take part in the Dimore Del Quartetto project in Italy.
