Performance: Round 1, Wind

The members of the Pacific Quintet met in the year 2017 in Sapporo, Japan. They were all invited to participate in the Pacific Music Festival where they played orchestra and chamber music. After playing together in the festival, the idea grew to establish a wind quintet. By chance the education of the five musicians from all over the world (Russia, Honduras, South Korea, Japan and Germany) led them to Berlin. Currently the members are studying at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, Universität der Künste Berlin and the Karajan-Akademie der Berliner Philharmoniker. Their main teachers are Sabine Meyer, Benoit Fromanger, Nick Deutsch, Matthias Rácz and Christian-Friederich Dahlmann. The members have worked with orchestras such as Berliner Philharmoniker, Dresdner Philharmoniker, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester, Staatskapelle Berlin, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Mariinsky Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic and have taken part in festivals such as Encuentro Santander, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Zermatt Music Festival and Seiji Ozawa Music Academy.
