The five young men from The Carl Nielsen Quintet began their collaboration in 2006 and have since played numerous concerts at festivals in Denmark and abroad. As individual musicians they have reached far beyond the Danish borders and received praise for their outstanding talent and dedication. They stick to a controlled, but extremely vivid style and they are not afraid to use any means in their performance to make it enjoyable yet musical.
 
All of the five members received their basic schooling in The Tivoli Boys Guard. A Danish institution in The Tivoli Park, known for delivering top class musicians to the Danish orchestras. Later their educational needs brought them to places like Zürich, Mannheim, New York and Chicago. The members of The Carl Nielsen Quintet play in orchestras such as The Malmö Opera, The South Jutland Symphony Orchestra, Copenhagen Phil and The Royal Danish Opera Orchestra.
